Eva Kaiser turns back the wheel of time to an era when expressive figurative painting was rooted in mythology or religion and not in the internet fundus. The old expressive art is the basis on which the former commercial artist stands. Jacobo Borges and Hermann Nitsch showed her the way to a free approach to models and materials. The actionist moment has prevailed in her work in recent years and has led to a special dynamism in the narration of the pictures and in the realisation of the craft. In the increased heat of the painting process, of picture-making in general, the basic religious themes around the Passion in particular flourish. Eva Kaiser is one of the few artists who are able to reignite venerable pictorial traditions.
