Art confronts us with pure meaning. It is neither a mere image nor pure entertainment.
This exhibition in the National Gallery in Skopje, the diverse and colourful capital of the Republic of North Macedonia, is intended to help build bridges between nations, inspire positive energy and, above all, arouse people's curiosity and appeal to their zest for life.
Eva Kaiser is an Austrian representative of abstract expressionism. She grew up in Salzburg and attended the School of Arts and Crafts. In 2003-05 she attended Hermann Nitsch's masterclass. She has been working as a freelance artist since 1985. Her time with Hermann Nitsch had a decisive influence on her artistic direction and gave her decisive impulses. Her works combine actionism and expressiveness, characterised by powerful, eruptive brushstrokes. Kaiser's paintings are represented in numerous international collections and museums, and her sacred works can be found in the contemporary art collections of many monasteries.
